Front: Portrait of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX) (1927-)

Special issue to celebrate the 60th anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's accession to the throne.

Other elements include the pictures of His Majesty the King visiting His people, Klong Tha Dan Dam in Nakhon Nayok province, rice field and farmers with the “ears of rice” design, representing His Majesty’s royal activities and commitment in water resource and Thai rice production developments.

Back : The main element on the back of the banknote is the portrait of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Note: The central bank has issued 9,999,999 of the special banknote in honour of the revered and beloved Thai monarch. This banknotes was released on 9th June 2006.
